What’s in a name

I remember long trips with my family to Florida when I was young. We’d stop at Stuckys for gas and snacks. We’d run into the store and each and every time, I’d check to see if they’d added my name to the key chains on the spinning display. All the common names were there; Ashley, Bridget, Camille, even a Deidre. My name was never there. Dee, more a a nickname than a name, it was never going to be there, and it never was. So as I got older and started doing crafts, I made my own. I’d draw, paint, etch and burn my name into whatever I could get my hands on. So now technology has finally caught up with me and it’s as easy as plugging a name into my laser software and letting it work it’s magic. Just like that, my name can be on whatever I want. A Yeti, a pendant, a bracelet.
